DJI launches new Matrice 350 RTK
May 18, 2023 – DJI today launched their new commercial drone, the DJI Matrice 350 RTK. The new flagship drone is designed for uses such as public safety, energy, mapping, infrastructure or forestry.
Powerful
The M350 RTK has a maximum flight time of 55 minutes and can carry a payload of 2.7 Kg. It also features the new DJI O3 Enterprise Transmission which has triple-channel 1080p HD live feeds and a max transmission distance of 20 km. To achieve this the M350 RTK has a four-antenna transceiver system and improved anti-interference capabilities.
Enhanced Flight Safety
With the built-in AI model, the Matrice 4 Series serves as a second pair of eyes during search and rescue missions. Vehicles and vessels can be quickly detected from a distance, even in difficult terrain. The drones can be flown on cruise control, allowing searches to maintain a consistent speed and freeing pilots to multitask. A FlyTo destination can be set to a missing person’s last known location and the drones will automatically set and adjust their flight path and speed based on the surrounding environment. When paired with DJI Pilot 2 app, the Matrice 4 Series can visualize on a map what ground area has already been observed based on the cameras field of view and without needing an obvious landmark — helping to ensure no area is missed. DJI Matrice 4E also enables Smart 3D Capture, allowing users to create rough models on the remote controller and generate precise mapping routes for detailed measurements of irregular buildings. It also displays virtual space routes and waypoint photos, enhancing flight safety assessment and coverage area analysis. DJI now also provides the necessary model training tools and third-party developer certification process to access onboard computing capability, helping expand new drone AI application fields.
Intelligent Functions
The Matrice 350 RTK comes with DJI’s RC Plus controller. This has a 7-inch high-bright screen and an operating time of up to six hours with a standard WB37 external battery. The controller is also dustproof and waterproof to IP54. The M350 RTK has intelligent functions including AI Spot Check which you can use to automate routine inspections. In addition, with PinPoint, you can mark an object so that its coordinates are projected to all camera views as an AR icon. Other intelligent features include Waypoint, Mapping, Oblique, Linear Flight, Terrain Follow and Smart Oblique.
New Battery
The drone uses a new TB65 battery which has a 100% increased battery cycle count. You can also charge it for up to 400 cycles, which reduces the cost of a single flight. The drone has a dual-battery system which supports battery hot swapping so you can run multiple flights without powering off.
Powerful Payloads
Drone’s Matrice 350 RTK can carry up to three payloads simultaneously. DJI’s Zenmuse range includes zoom cameras, wide cameras, thermal cameras and laser rangefinders. The are also options including Lidar modules and mapping cameras to give you 3D data. In addition, 3rd party payloads include gas detectors, loudspeakers, and multispectral sensors.
